Thanks to the agreement just signed, seven people from protected categories will start to work in PUNCH Torino.

PUNCH Torino confirms its position at the forefront of inclusion policies

Turin, November 29, ’22. PUNCH Torino positions itself once again at the forefront of human resources management as well as cooperation with Industrial Unions, the agency Piemonte Lavoro and the local institutions. The latest milestone has been achieved through the signing of an agreement for the employment of people affected by disabilities. This agreement is part of the regulatory framework of Article 14 of the Legislative Decree No. 276/03, and the related Framework Agreement of the Piedmont Region, which allows the signing of agreements between companies and social cooperatives, creating job placement opportunities for this category of workers.

Thanks to the agreement that has just been signed, PUNCH Torino will entrust to Orso Blu – a social cooperative enterprise operating in the Northwest of Italy, general services, allowing seven new people to start working as early as December.

This initiative is part of a broader company plan aimed at inclusivity, with a fundamental goal to be reached in 2022: the direct hiring of new employees from the list of protected categories.

In fact, the company has always paid attention to these issues in its selection process, which prioritizes the careful assessment of candidates’ technical and soft skills, and in which diversity is valued as a potential enrichment.

Marco Finanzieri, PUNCH Torino Human Resources Director, has stated: “We welcomed the idea of working on this agreement, which required intense coordination work with territorial institutions and the chosen cooperative.” Finanzieri furthermore has added: “Inclusion and Diversity have always been part of our DNA and the first D&I report is a concrete manifestation of our commitment, : representing our starting point to begin to invest in a change that emphasizes diversity, to move towards innovation.”

PUNCH Torino and its affiliates have more than 700 employees of which 12 nationalities are represented, and the female presence is constant at about 18%, high percentage compared to other similar automotive and industrial companies in Italy.
